My favourite Victoria's Secret fragrances

Victoria's Secret is a very well known brand that sells beauty products and one of my personal favourites. Unfortunately in my country it is not too vastly available, but still I managed to snatch a few precious products.

My no. 1 favourite is Pure Seduction, it is truly heavenly. The scent is fruity, floral but with such a fresh feeling to it. It is like smelling a delicious fruit popsicle. Every time I look at the empty bottle (yes I kept the bottle, I'm obsessed! ) I want to cry because it is so hard to get my hands on another one. Sometimes I smell the cap...Don t judge me!

Vanilla Lace:

Vanilla is my all time favourite scent and taste so this was right up my alley right from the beginning. Also even though I had a small spray version it really lasted throughout the day.
I even got quite a few compliments while wearing it, several people said I smelled just like a cupcake, which was very nice.

Sheer Love:

This one smells just like spring to me. Verry fresh and floral and it really paints a picture of spring in my head.
At first white cotton and pink Lilly didn't say much to me, but when I smelled it I really liked it.

Secret Charm:

This one has jasmine, as its main note, my mum's favourite flower.
I really like this one too, it is very fresh and clean with a floral feel to it, it feels like a nice spring breeze.

Soo yeah, not the longest list but I can safely say I LOVE all of these and I would repurchase them in an instant.
I really hope Victoria's Secret will open more stores in Europe because I am very fond of their brand and would like to try a whole lot of their products!

Skin types and foundation

When I first started using makeup I was pretty confused about both skin types and foundation.
I thought to myself: ''well I guess my skin type is normal....like why wouldn't it be normal? I am normal! ....Right?'' Like it was some sort of norm and if you didn't have it you were weird or something....wrong!

There are 5 main types: normal, oily, dry, sensitive and combination skin and which ever one you've got is perfectly ok.
There are a few online quizez that can help you pin point your skin type. Like this one.
But I will summarise it quickly:

  • Dry- your skin often feels tight and flakes in certain areas.
  • Oily- your skin gets greasy and shines.
  • Sensitive- you often break out or get irritated by certain products.
  • Combination- Oily but only in your T-zone.
  • Normal- you don't really experience any of the things I just mentioned.

Foundation is usually made more specific for certain skin types. I did not know this......I thought

you just yank one out of the store and it just does the job.

When you are looking for foundation try to look for ones especially for your skin type.

  • The best foundation for oily skin is usually in a powder form or thickher formula.

One I would suggest is Rimmel stay matte foundation. I actually tried this one even though my skin is pretty dry, so it wasn't a perfect match but nevertheless I thought it was pretty good.
The price is really low, the texture is nice and the colour matched me nicely.

  • The foundation for dry skin is usually more liquidy.

My skin is dry and I get break outs, also I am pale as a piece of paper so these are good foundations for pale skin (the lightest shades).

These are a few of my favorite foundations for dry skin (I listed them low to high price);

  1. rimmel match perfection
  2. l'oreal true match
  3. revlon colorstay for dry skin

I just noticed they are also listed in order of best smelling..... so there's that :-).

I will do reviews for every one of them if you would like a  detailed review.

So in conclusion foundation can be a bit complicated but once you find one that is right for you, it can really boost your confidence and set a nice base for the rest of your makeup.
I hope this helped even the slightest because it sure would have helped me right when I started ''playing'' with makeup.

Hello everybody!

This is my brand new baby blog, and I hope it will be lots of fun for both me and you! :)

Soo, I'm a 19-year-old girl from Europe, starting college in September, my major is American studies and I thought it would be a fun hobby to open my own  blog.

The main topic of this blog will be beauty but of course I have other interests too, like movies and TV shows (Pretty little liars is my favourite TV show in case you couldn't tell :)) ) I also love animals (cats!),, Tumblr, stationery and  learning foreign languages (I speak a bit of Italian, french but I am fluent in English, Romanian and sarcasm).

I will start posting product reviews, makeup tips and tricks, beauty tags and other cute shit  stuff like that.
